Custom Hang Tags for Wedding Favors: Quantity & Personalization
Wedding and event gifting is one of the few use-cases where personalization — not just branding — is often the whole point. A guest’s name on a favor tag reads very differently than a couple’s monogram alone, and getting the quantity and format right avoids both a rushed reorder and a pile of leftover tags.
Here’s how we help wedding planners and couples plan this kind of order.
Sizing your quantity
Base your count on your final guest list plus a 5–10% buffer for last-minute additions, vendor samples, and a few keepsakes for the couple. Favor tags are one of the few programs where under-ordering is a bigger risk than over-ordering, since a short-notice reorder rarely arrives before the event.
Personalization options
For per-guest personalization — a name, a table number, or a short individual note — send us a spreadsheet and we set up variable data printing, so each tag prints correctly without manual formatting on your end. For a single design applied to every tag, a standard run is faster and less expensive.
| Program | Typical quantity | Best format |
|---|---|---|
| Wedding favors | 75–300 | Mini or Kraft, personalized |
| Welcome bags | 50–200 | Foil-stamped or Kraft |
| Table gifts | Guest count + 10% | Mini Jewelry or custom shape |
| Vendor thank-yous | 10–50 | Foil-stamped |
Choosing for your order
Because wedding dates are fixed and cannot slip, submit your quote request at least four to five weeks out to leave room for a mockup round, a personalization proof, and our standard two-week production window with a buffer.
